Autumn N Blues Festival

   What is the Autumn and Blues Festival?

     The Autumn and Blues Festival is one of Jackson’s foremost showcases of blues music. It will be held for two days annually in October and expects thousands of blues enthusiasts to converge on historic downtown Jackson, MS to hear soulful and soul-lifting performances of an iconic American art form at the 930 Blues Café.

     Mississippi is synonymous with blues and the 930 Blues Café in Jackson, MS has been appeasing blues lovers with hard-driving, intense blues since it opened its doors in 2002.  The 930 has played host to such blues greats as Lil’ Dave Thompson, The King Edward Blues Band, Willie King, Bobby Rush, Michael Burks, and Koko Taylor and great local artists such as Jackie Bell and Ironing Board Sam.  The 2009 Autumn N Blues Festival will bring blues to the streets of Jackson.

     Michael Burks and Bobby Rush are two of the headliner  artists that will perform at the festival.
